Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody cover a wide range of build eras, from Maillardville's older homes to the hillside subdivisions that filled in through the 1990s and 2000s. Different vintages, same failure.
CALL 778-317-6476Westwood Plateau and the Heritage Mountain slopes were built out heavily in the 1990s. Those homes are now thirty years on, which is squarely where sealed units start to go — and because whole streets went up in the same couple of years, neighbours tend to notice the same problem in the same season.
Burke Mountain is the newer story. Even recent construction fails early when a unit was damaged in transit or the glazing was rushed, and on an exposed slope that shows up faster. Age is the usual cause of a foggy pane, but it is not the only one.
A foggy pane almost never means the whole window has to go. In most cases the frame is sound and only the sealed glass unit needs replacing — measured on site, built to fit, and installed in your existing opening.
